THE TASMAN GLACIER

Recent findings from the University of Canterbury show an increased rate of ice loss on the Tasman Glacier. On average it recedes 140m per year, but can be up to 300m. Follow Tim's 25Zero project to help raise awareness of climate change.

COP21 PARIS BROADCAST

The 25zero team broadcast live into the UN’s COP21 climate talks in Paris in December 2015 with a series of short films edited in the field, demanding a new climate agreement be reached.

HUNWICK'S LADDERS

Over the past 20 years ladders were installed on the steep flanks of Mount Stanley by the legendary John Hunwick and his team of Bakonzo mountain guides. MT STANLEY 1906-2015

The Duke of Abruzzi was the first to scale the Rwenzori's highest peaks. His 1906 view of Mt Stanley (Africa's largest icecap) compared to what the 25zero team saw in 2015 shows the scale of the climate change problem.

CARSTENSZ PYRAMID 1936-2015

This animation shows the change in glacier cover on Carstensz Pyramid (Puncak Jaya) between 1936 when the mountain was first climbed by Heinrich Harrer and 2015 when the 25zero team climbed it during the UN's COP 21 climate talks in Paris.
